A.C. Tyson Jr.

Mr. A.C. Tyson Jr., age 86, formerly of Augusta, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Steubenville, OH under the love and care of his daughter Diane. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27th at 2:00pm in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Rev. Andy Yates will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Brett, Robbie Roberson, Tommy Willard, Butch Willard, Ricky Groomes and Grant Kirkendorf.

Mr. Tyson was born in Washington County the son of the late Arlie Clayton Tyson Sr., and the late Sallie Mae Byrne Tyson. He
retired in 1974 as an electrician working at Fort Gordon in the Civil Service and began working as a general contractor. Mr. Tyson later worked for Winnebago International as the their eastern regional director. He was a great patriot and loved traveling the United States with the Winnebago 365 Club. Mr. Tyson was a US Army Veteran of WWII and is predeceased by his wife Annie Elizabeth Brantley Tyson.

Survivors are his daughter Diane Tyson Denny (Tod) of Wintersville, OH, grandchildren, Charles Nicholas Denny and Timothy Todd Denny, great grandchildren, Tyler Todd Denny and Triston David Knight and his sister Christine T. Amerson of Tennille.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00am to 12 noon at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
