Adam Jason Bennett

Mr. Adam Jason Bennett, age 44, of Griffin, GA, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital.

Adam was born in Evanston, Illinois, on March 31, 1978. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Norman and Marion Bennett, and Horacio and Julia Benitez. Adam was retired as a police officer with the City of Jonesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Jackeline Rodriguez Bennett; sons, Gavin Bennett, Jamin Bennett, Camdin Bennett; mother and step father, Linda and Johan VanderMerwe; father and step mother, Nelson and Joann Bennett; brother and sister in law, Kevin and Emma Bennett; sister and brother in law, Christine and Chad Metzger; sister, Julie Facenda; step sister: Sonya Ramsey; special friends, Chuck Clark, Audreea McDowell and Greg Dragg.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 24 from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury with Reverend Johan VanderMerwe. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Kidney Foundation kidneyfund.org/give or American Diabetes Association diabetes.org/diabetes/donation in memory of Adam.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022.  May & Smith Funeral Directors is in charge of the graveside service.
