Albert Martin Brynteson, Sr.

Allbert Martin Brynteson, Sr., age 90, of Sandersville went to be with his Lord on Friday,  April 28, 2017, at his residence, after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery near Riddleville. Reverend William Moody will officiate.

Pallbearers will be his sons, Albert Brynteson, Bill Brynteson, son in law, Donald Jezewski, grandsons, James Jezewski, Matthew Brynteson, Azia Brynteson and Europe Brynteson.

Albert was born April 5, 1927, in Lake Worth Florida, to the late Jens Benheart Brynteson and the late Marion Hartzel Rou Brynteson. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James Brynteson, Victor Brynteson, Belo Brynteson and a grandson, Dennis Schwartz. He began his working at a very young age helping his grandfather in his grocery store until he was a teenager, then working in the automotive parts business for thirty years.  He and his wife and four children moved to Sandersville to be close to his ailing in laws. He worked for Jackson Machine Shop until his health started failing. Albert served in the army with the l0lst Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict and was discharged from Fort Devins, Mass. hospital unit.
Survivors are: his wife of 65 years, Lois Essig Brynteson of Sandersville; his children, Albert Martin Brynteson, Jr of Cadwell, Carolyn Marie Wellons of Miami FL, William "Bill" Brynteson of Sandersville and Thelma Jean "Jeannie" Jezewski and her husband Donald of Sandersville; fourteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Sallenback of Lake Worth FL.; sister in law, Charlene Brynteson of Laredo, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday until the hour of service.
