Alene Renfroe Brownlee

December 17, 1952 — November 7, 2014

Alene Renfroe Brownlee, age 61, of Sandersville, died Friday, November 7, 2014. A memorial will be held at her home, 766 McIntyre Street in Sandersville, on Saturday, November 15th, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m.

Alene was born in Laurens County the daughter of the late Cohen Renfroe. She lived in the Harrison area until she was 22. It was at this time her adventurous spirit took over and she set out to explore the world. Throughout her life she called Macon, Marietta, and Woodstock home. In 2010 she returned to Sandersville to be closer to her family and her roots. Alene spent her working career as an accountant working in an industry that she loved, NASCAR. Her last employment was for Billy Ballew Motorsports as well as running her business, Just Bookkeeping. Alene’s life was a life well-lived. She found excitement and adventure in everything she did. She lived her life to travel and experience new things. It was not rare for Alene to go on a simple trip and turn the ordinary into extraordinary. She was a true blessing that left a lasting impression on all those she met. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Survivors are her daughters, Tracey Lynn Henry and her husband Todd of Randleman N.C., and Amanda Brownlee of Macon; grandchildren, Sarah Ashlie Henry and Jacob Cohen Henry; her mother, Doris R. Dixon of Tennille; her sister, Dianne Renfroe of Harrison; and her dog, Penney.
