Alice Saliba Carlson

Mrs. Alice Saliba Carlson, age 97, of Sandersville died on Monday, April 16 in Sandersville following an extended illness.

A memorial service and interment in Blytheville, Arkansas will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Carlson was a native of Blytheville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Joseph Akle Saliba and the late Akabir Saliba. She was the wife of the late John Daryl Carlson. Mrs. Carlson held a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and was a YMCA administrator. She was a member of Sandersville United Methodist Church and started the Extended Care Facility Garden Project.

Survivors are: a niece, Suann McManus of Mountain Home, Arkansas.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville was in charge of the arrangements.
