Alice Faye Watts Yates

Mrs. Alice Faye Watts Yates, age 65, of Gordon died Sunday, February 8, 2015, in the Coliseum Hospital in Macon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 12th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Reverend Roy Smith will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brandon Wayne Yates, Gavin Cliff, Trevor Palmer, Ray Bonner, Bernard L. Yates and Dorian Yates.

Mrs. Yates was a native of Bibb County, Georgia, the daughter of the late James Harold Watts and the late Alice Marie Miller Watts. She was a retired certified nursing assistant for Home Nursing Corporation. Mrs. Yates was a member of the Voice of Truth Baptist Church.

Survivors are her children, Tammy Faye Mills Kitchens of Atlanta, Elizabeth Marie Mills Harper of Macon, Ronald Dwayne Mills, Sr. and his wife Randi of Wadley, Wayne Yates, Jr. and his wife Krystle of Greensboro, Lonnie L. Yates and his wife Michelle of Gibson, and Brandon Kyle Yates of Tennille; twenty grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lana Sue Brewer of Gray.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Thursday.
