Alma Jean Newsome Johnson

Conyers- Mrs. Alma Jean Newsome Johnson, 81, beloved wife of Mr. Leonard Johnson, entered into rest Saturday, May 20, 2017, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 22, in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating.

Mrs. Johnson was a native of Glascock County, but had lived in Conyers for several years. She was a homemaker and a member of Ridgeland Heights Baptist Church in Sandersville Ga.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Leonard Johnson, Conyers; three daughters, Donna (Ken) Joiner and Karen Denise Shirley, both of Thomson; and Audrey Johnson; a sister, Edna Hobbs, Martinez; two brothers, Lewis Newsome and Vernon Newsome, both of Jewell; and 4 grandchildren, William Shayne Woods, Sandersville, Erin Gainey, Lauren Robinson, and Kyle Joiner.

Friends may call at the residence of Ken and Donna Joiner or at the Curtis Funeral Home. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
