Amanda B. “Mandy” Brown, age 35, of Warthen, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends, Jimmy Brown and Bobby Hamilton will officiate.
Mandy was born in Macon and was a current resident of Warthen where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Balerma Baptist Church and was a loving mother and wife. Mandy is predeceased by her daughter Layla Michelle Veal and her father James Edwin Brown.
Mandy is survived by: her husband, Garnet Brown; children, Savannah Brown, C.J. Brown, Garnet Brown Jr., and James Brown all of Warthen; step children, Ashley B. Skipper and Kristalei Brown both of Sandersville; four step grandchildren; her mother, Gina H. Justice of Carey; her sister, Wendy Fordham of Eastman; her father-in-law, Cecil Brown of Warthen; and her mother-in-law, Carolyn Smith and her husband Art of Dunedin, Florida.
The family will be at the residence of Cecil Brown on Linton Road and they will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
