Amaryllis Lord Burt

Mrs. Amaryllis Lord Burt, age 81, of 576 North Oakley Drive in Columbus, Georgia died Friday morning July 2 in the Columbus Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday July 5 in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. The Rev. Roger Morris will officiate.

Mrs. Burt was a native of Washington County, Georgia, the daughter of the late John Nathan Lord and the late Audrey Wyatt Lord. She was the wife of the late George Dennis Burt. Mrs. Burt was predeceaded by two sons, George Dennis Burt, Jr and Dennis Nathan Burt and a daughter, Denise Burt Compton. She was a retired leasing manager for Sherwood Apartments in Miami Florida for many years and a homemaker. She was a member of the Real Life Church of God in Columbus.

Survivors are a daughter, Sandra Burt-Amaro of Columbus, her grandchildren, Isabel Amaryllis Amaro of Hamilton, George Thomas Amaro of Columbus and George Brian Compton of Columbus, two sisters, Lugene Brantley of Miami, Helen Harrell and her husband L. J. of Lakeland, two brothers, Clifford C. Lord and his wife Louise of Green Cove Springs and Donald Lord and his wife Margie of Hollywood Maryland.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday.
