Amy Rowell Marshall

Amy Rowell Marshall, age 52, of Indian Hill Road, Tennille Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in an Augusta Hospital following an extended illness.  A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, March 29th, at 11:00 a.m., at Sandersville Community Church, with Pastor Scott Ferguson officiating.  Amy's family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m., also at the church.  Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. in the Roberta City Cemetery in Roberta Georgia.

Amy was born in Macon and reared in Warner Robins, where she graduated from Northside High School.   During high school, Amy participated in the school chorus and worked at her family's local restaurant.  She obtained her commercial driver’s license while working for Blue Bird Bus Company and later worked as a bus driver for several county school systems.  In 2005 Amy relocated to Washington County and became a professional driver for B-H Transfer.  She later assumed the role of safety supervisor, a position she held at the time of her death.  Amy was an active and charter member of the Sandersville Community Church, where she was involved in the church ladies' ministries.  She loved cooking and passing her cooking expertise to her children.  Amy was a lover of animals.  She is predeceased by her parents Reginald Rowell and Florence Lowe Williams.

Amy is survived by her two children, Alan Michael Cumbess and Cheyenne Marshall both of Tennille; siblings, Steven Chatham and his wife Martie and Eric Chatham and his wife Wendi; her nephew Brian Chatham and his wife Becki and her niece Katie Brown and her husband Khyrie and her partner and companion Timothy Welch of Tennille.
