Mr. Andrew James McNeely, age 86, of Louisville died Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the Heritage Inn of Sandersville following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 9, at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Louisville with burial in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The
Rev. Larry Montgomery and Rev. Hardy Owen will officiate. Pallbearers will be Larry Smith, Emory Bargeron, Jr., Neal Sapp, Steve Sapp, Ray Taylor, and Britt Searcy. Honorary Pallbearers will be the T. W. Wilson Sunday School Class.

Mr. McNeely was a native of Jefferson County, Georgia the son of the late Lewis Neal McNeely and Frances Blanchard McNeely. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. McNeely was a member of the First Baptist Church of Louisville, a Church deacon, and a member of the T. W. Wilson Sunday School Class. He was a retired supervisor of The Thermo King Corporation. Mr. McNeely was an avid gardener and farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Wilcher McNeely; his sister, Elizabeth McNeely Kitchens; his brothers, Lynwood McNeely and John L. McNeely.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen McNeely Dana and her husband John of Sandersville;
his son, Dr. James Michael McNeely and his wife Laura of Savannah; Grandsons, Ronald W. Livingston and Jonathan Neal Livingston both of Louisville; sisters, Martha McNeely Garrett of Davisboro and Lula McNeely Sapp of Statesboro.

The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church, Sunday, January 9, from 1:00PM until the hour of service.

The family suggests donations be made to the First Baptist Church, 101 E. 9th Street, Louisville, Georgia 30434.
