Ann Yates Hall

Ms. Ann Yates Hall, age 66, of 50 Cox Town Road in Oconee died Wednesday, June 18, 2014,in a Macon hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 21st, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Bay Springs Cemetery near Oconee. The Rev. Andy Yates and Rev. Wallace Smith will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dalton Davis, Jordan Davis, Gerald Kitchens, Wayne Yates, Jr., Lonnie Yates, Lamar Godfrey, Mike Yates, Randy Nicholson, Kyle Yates, Christopher Godfrey, Nick Brantley and Zachary Brantley.

Ms. Hall was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Lonnie Lyman Yates and the late Myrtice Yates. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Leon Yates, Bernard Lamar Yates and Tommy Lee Yates. Ann was a retired paralegal. She was a homemaker and a wonderful seamstress. Ms. Hall was a member of the Oconee Church of God and a member of the Association of Retarded Citizens.

Survivors are her children, Teresa Davis and her husband Steve of Sandersville, Rolanda Heath Petherick and her husband Chris of Chattanooga, Terry Gene “Mr. Tee” Hall, Jr of Oconee, Belinda Nicholson and her husband Richard of Covington and Benita Brett Jones of Sandersville; eleven grandchildren, Dalton Davis, Jordan Davis, Jonah Sanders, Abe Petherick , Joshua Nicholson, Matthew Nicholson, Randy Nicholson, Jocelyn Williams, Alexandria Lindsey, Katie Garner and Valerie Harrison; four great-grandchildren, Gracie Nicholson, Morgan Rae Nicholson, Dalton James Nicholson and Gage Martin; two sisters, Helen Perkins of Brookline, MA, Kathelene Godfrey and her husband Delma of Oconee; and two brothers, Lyman Yates and his wife Lois of Sandersville and Wayne Yates, Sr. and his wife Lisa of Sandersville.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday.
