Mrs. Anna Ruth Reynolds, age 95 of Harrison, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Washington County Regional Medical Center. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:00a.m. in Washington County Memorial Gardens with Reverend Danny Thomas officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery.
Mrs. Reynolds was born in Harrison, the daughter of the late Asa Lindsey and the late Ila Shurling Lindsey. She spent her working career as a seamstress at Carter’s Manufacturing. Mrs. Reynolds was a loving a wife and mother, as well as an excellent cook and a talented seamstress. She enjoyed spending time gardening and planting flowers. Mrs. Reynolds spent many years teaching early elementary Sunday School and Bible School at Ammie S. Page Baptist Church in Riddleville, where she was also a member of the “Praying Grannies.” Mrs. Reynolds loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Thomas “W.T.” Reynolds; son, William Thomas Reynolds; and siblings, Benton Lindsey, Walter Lindsey, Rufus Lindsey, Adel Fulmer, Geneva Johnson, Robbie Lindsey, and Beulah Bush.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jones and her husband Robert, and Betty Ruth Barker and her husband Steve, both of Sandersville; son, Charles Reynolds of Harrison; grandchildren, Chris Jones and his wife Paula, Penelope Ann Kitchens and her husband Joe, Chad Jones and his wife Carla, Leigh Anna Zaenglein and her husband John, Charlize Celeste Reynolds, Thomas Reynolds and his wife Michelle, and Carmen Oxford and her husband Daniel; great grandchildren, Haley Evelyn Kitchens, Lindsey Faith Kitchens, Lane Jones, Callie Jones, John Thomas Zaenglein, Anna Jewel Zaenglein, Casandra Caballeo, Wesley Reynolds, and Olivia Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
