Anne Watkins Bivings

Anne Watkins Bivings, age 96, passed away peacefully at her home on April 23, 2022.  A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandersville United Methodist Church with Reverend Stan Littleton officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in Heritage Hall.

Anne was a native of Bartow, Georgia, the daughter of the late Rose Salter Watkins and Charles Spier Watkins.  After graduating from Bartow High School, she attended the University of Georgia where she met and later married her husband, Earl Allen “Biv” Bivings of Donaldsonville, Georgia.  After graduating, she taught school, later working, and retiring in 1985 from the Department of Family and Children Services.  She was a faithful member of Sandersville United Methodist Church, the Tuesday Bridge Club and a loved hostess, known for her annual Christmas parties at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Biv Bivings.  She is survived by her daughters, Bunny Bivings and Bess Boyd; grandchildren, B. Allen Boyd, and Stephanie R. Boyd; great grandchildren, Jacob Bivings, Boyd and Jadalyn B. Bruins.

The family prefers donations be made to Sandersville United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 611, Sandersville, Georgia, or the charity of their choice.

The family will be at the home of Bess Boyd, 314 North Harris Street, Sandersville, Georgia.
