Graveside services to celebrate the life of Anne Brett Segars, age 74, of Camden, SC will be held Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 2:00PM at Washington Memorial Gardens, Sandersville, GA. Dr. Frank Hutcheson will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 9, 2017, from 7:00-8:30PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to Elizabeth Anne Segars Endowment, Childrens Music Development Center, USC Education Foundation, 1600 Hampton Street, Columbia, SC 29208.
Born in Sandersville, GA she was the widow of Albert H. ”Al” Segars, Jr. and the daughter of the late Otis and Martha Eloise Lord Brett. She was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church and former member of the Sunnyhill Garden Club and the Camden Highsteppers.
Surviving are her 3 sons, Albert Harrison Segars, III (Barbara) of Chapel Hill, NC, Jeff Warren Segars (Sandra) of Greenville, SC and William Paul Segars (Christi) of Apex, NC.; 5 grandchildren, Kristen Leigh Segars, Joseph Keith Segars, Jeffrey Reed Segars, Hannah Elizabeth Segars and Matthew Scott Segars; 3 brothers, Randy Brett of Tennile, GA, Otis Brett. Jr. of Sandersville. GA and Dan Brett of Gainesville, GA.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Anne Segars.
