Ms. Annette Deal Smith, of Sandersville, died Thursday, May 28, 2015. A casual celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 31st at 4:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home. Minister Marlon Lastinger will facilitate. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the home of Pam and Dook Renfroe on McIntyre Street in Sandersville.
Ms. Smith was born in Toccoa the daughter of the late D. Oren Deal and the late Ruth Meeks. She was retired as the administrative secretary for Champion Papers Kaolin Plant and she is also the former owner/operator of Annette’s Upholstery Shop in Tennille. Annette was a former active member of the Twin City Country Club where she enjoyed the game of golf. She was a true “people person” who loved entertaining family and friends. Her brothers, James and Jerry Deal predecease her.
Survivors are: her daughters, Pam Smith Renfroe and her husband Dook of Sandersville, and Deborah Smith Beck and her husband Jeff of Eatonton; grandchildren, Josh McNeely and his wife Kelli of Davisboro, Maranda M. Ganas and her husband Rick of Marietta, Ashley Renfroe of Birmingham, AL, and Hogan Renfroe of Savannah; great grandchildren, William and Cait Ganas; sisters, Jewell Powell of Buford, Linda Cheeks of Seneca, SC, and Charlie Bailey of Greer, SC; and her brothers, Kenneth Deal of Toccoa, and Tyrus Deal of Norcross.
