Annette Norris Yongue

Mrs. Annette Norris Yongue, age 76, of Sandersville, died on December 25, 2018 in an Augusta hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 28, at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville with burial at Washington County Memorial Gardens. Dr. Justin Terrell and Reverend Janet Cavin will officiate. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Mrs.Yongue was a lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late T. Jeff Norris and the late Ruby Osborne Norris.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Forace Avant, brother, Frank Norris and a nephew, Robbie Parham.  Mrs. Yongue was a graduate of Washington County High School and Augusta Business College.  She was an executive secretary for Southern Drilling Supply Company.  She was a member of Olive Hill Baptist Church.  Mrs. Yongue was a member and former Board member of the Twin City Country Club and a member of the ladies auxiliary. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing bunco, bridge and showing her horses.  She was loved by everyone who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, John Yongue of Sandersville,  children, Anita Avant Pittman and her husband Drew, Cliff Avant and his wife Allison, Pam Avant Boyd and her husband Chris, Margie Yongue Varin and her husband Bryan; grandchildren , Bradley Pittman, John Wesley Pittman, Tommy Pittman, Faith Poole, Forace Avant, Wright Avant, Emily Terrell, Heath Boyd and Emmitt Varin; great grandchildren, Jackson Pittman, Paxton Pittman, Adeline Poole, Samuel Poole, Sadie Terrell and Jaden Terrell; brother, David Norris of Ivey; and a sister, Juanita Parham.

The family suggest donations be made to Olive Hill Baptist Church, 1117 Adams Road, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. on Friday until the hour of service at 2:00 P.M.
