Annie Hines Anderson

Mrs. Annie Hines Anderson, age 98, formerly of Royal Lane in Sandersville, died peacefully at her sons’ home on Lake Sinclair Tuesday, September 8, 2020.  A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12 th at 2:00 p.m. in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.  Reverend Danny Thomas and Reverend Lamar Brantley will officiate.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Emanuel County, the daughter of the late Percy George Hines and the late Missouri Wood Hines. She worked as a seamstress starting with Royal Manufacturing and retired as an inspector for Delta Apparel.  Mrs. Anderson was a longtime and active member of First Church of the Nazarene where she formerly taught Sunday School.  She loved to do embroidery work and sew for family and friends and she also loved to fish.  In addition to her parents, her husband, Roy A. Anderson and her son, Thurman Anderson predecease her.

Survivors include her sons, Jay Anderson of Eatonton and Rayburn Anderson and his wife Sarah of  Harrison; grandchildren, Danielle Coulter and her husband Patrick of Sandersville, Paula Smith and her husband Mike of Dublin, and Leslie Williams and her husband Jess of Sandersville; great grandchildren, Britney Fulghum and her husband Michael of Kathleen, Logan Baucom of Sandersville, Trae Smith and his wife Kayann of Nashville, TN, Tyler Smith and his wife Mary Elizabeth of Kansas City, MO., Anna Powell and her husband Hunter, Eli Smith, Sarah Kate Smith, Maggie Smith all of Dublin, Charlie Hancock, Tucker Hancock, Maggie Williams, Gambill Williams, and Abe Williams all of Sandersville; great great grandchildren, London Fulghum and Grayson Fulghum both of Kathleen and Andy Powell of Dublin; sister-in-law, Louise Garner of Wrightsville; and a devoted friend, Randal McCook of Eatonton.

Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville in numbers of ten or less using social distancing practices.
