Mrs. Annie Lou Hobbs, age 91, of Sandersville died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Washington County Regional Medical Extended Care Facility following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 10th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Bobby Williford will officiate with burial in the White Oak Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Thompson, James Tanner, Doug Bridges and William Davis.
Mrs. Hobbs was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Joseph Franklin Poole and the late Addie Jane Mixon Poole. She was the wife of the late William Robert Hobbs. Mrs. Hobbs was a homemaker and a member of the Kendall Heights Church of God.
Survivors are: her sons, William (Carol) Bridges, Joseph Bridges, Jimmy Bridges and Ronnie (Angela) Bridges all of Sandersville; four grandchildren, Wendy Bridges, Lisa (Chris) Hardin, Harold (Holly) Burnett and Grady (Trish) Burnett; twelve great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P. M. until the hour of service on Saturday.
