Mrs. Annie Mimbs Robinson, age 89, of Tennille, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Heritage Inn following an extended illness. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene in Sandersville, with burial in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverends Danny Thomas and Joe Crosby will officiate. Randy Lord, Dan Glover, Walter Davis, Russell Meeks, Mike Logue and John Mark Thomas will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Robinson’s family will greet friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Adrian, Johnson County and reared in Tennille, where she graduated from Tennille High School Class of 1956. She was offered a college scholarship to play basketball but chose to turn it down and marry, the love of her life, Loyce Denon Robinson, her husband of 58 years. Annie spent her working career as a talented seamstress working for Studdard Shirt Factory, Royal Manufacturing, Buckeye Industries and lastly with her sister at Jackie’s Upholstery. She was a long-time member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she was active with the Loyce Robinson Sunday School Class. Annie served her church in many roles over the years, and hospitality was one of her favorite roles. She and Loyce were avid gardeners, often planning vacation around the garden. She loved to fish and in her younger years she enjoyed church league softball. Mrs. Robinson is predeceased by her husband, Loyce, her parents, Willie Henry Bradford Mimbs and Willie Lavada Dickens Mimbs and siblings, Eldred Garnto, Essie Mae Brantley, Jacquiline Garnto, Iris Foskey, Silas Mimbs, Ralph Mimbs and Z.L. Mimbs.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa R. Schuyler and her husband Rick of Tennille; grandchildren, Joey Schuyler and his wife Amanda of Harrison, Josh Schuyler and his wife Maggie of Kathlene, and Taye Archer and her husband Clayton of Tennille; great grandchildren, Wyatt Schuyler, Peyton Schuyler, Dakota Schuyler, Skyler Waters, Steven Schuyler and Maddux Archer and her sister Ermie Foskey of Adrian.
