Anthony William Davis, age 25, of Riddleville, died Thursday, April 7, 2016. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 12th, at 2:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Friendship Baptist Church in Washington County with military honors. Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Sanders, Keaton Tapley, Thomas Avant, Matthew Anderson, Gayner Durden, Clint Durden, Larry Pulliam, T.J. Zaenglein, Colton Lindsey, and Austin Williford.
Anthony was born in Baldwin County and reared in Washington County. He was a Certified Diesel Mechanic and worked as a Maintenance Technician for D.P.I.C. Inc. Anthony attended the First Church of the Nazarene and served five years in the United States Army. Anthony loved family, hunting, and fishing. He leaves a void in the hearts of many.
Survivors are: his son, Tucker Lee Davis, and his daughter, Laney Jane Clifford; father, William Hoke Davis and his wife Joyce of Sandersville; mother, Nancy Sikes of Savannah; sister, Michelle Williams Bloodworth of Milledgeville; his beloved Aunt Carolyn Scott of Sandersville; Uncles, James Durden and his wife Brenda and Clarence Durden and his wife Dianne all of Sandersville; devoted cousins, Zara, Zoe and Zea; his fiancé Jenna Zaenglein of Riddleville; and the mother of his son, Sierra Corder; Nieces, MaKayla Bloodworth and Sophia Bloodworth. Anthony is predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Shaun Williams.
The family will be at the Davis residence on Ridgeland Drive in Sandersville and they will receive friends on Monday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
