B. Floyd Johnston

Mr. B. Floyd Johnston, age 73, of Harrison died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 18th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. The Reverend Andy Yates will officiate.

Mr. Johnston was a native of Heard County, Georgia, the son of the late Rolland Johnston and the late Clemmie Yearta Johnston. He was a retired general contractor. Mr. Johnston was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Diane Fore Johnston of Harrison; his children, Becky D. Parkerson and Wanda J. Bowen both of Monroe, Tony Wallace of Sandersville, Jody Gainey of Hogansville, Susan Rivers of Senoia and Letecia Wallace of Sandersville; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, James R. Johnston of Villa Rica and George Johnston of Village, FL; and a sister, Flora Self of Dallas.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
