Barbara Ann Meader

Mrs. Barbara Ann Innes Meader, age 78, of Mitchell, passed away at her residence on September 10, 2022.  A service of celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Meader was a native of West Virginia, the daughter of the late John Boyd Innes and the late Betty Phillips Innes.  After spending many years in Florida, Barbara and Jeff wanted to retire, move to the country, build a log cabin and enjoy life in the middle of the woods in Georgia.  Barbara was a very good cook and always enjoyed making amazing food for family and friends.  Everyone looked forward to her assortment of Christmas cookies which she would spend many hours on each year.

Barbara’s greatest love was for her family. Nothing was more important to her than her husband of nearly 49 years, her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, and her extended family. She always put her family first. She loved all of them very much and always made sure she was there for them. She will be missed very much by her family and friends.

Survivors are her husband, Jeffery Wayne Meader of Mitchell; daughter, Michele Krebs (John) of Clarks Hill SC; sons, Douglas Mahlich and Matthew Meader both of Mitchell; grandchildren, Merissa, Kristopher and Doug Jr.; great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Levi, Dominic, Camden, Khloe, Kacie and Atlin; and sisters, Lois Smith, Patricia Bailey and Sharon Jones.
