Barbara Ann Smith Boyd

Mrs. Barbara Ann Smith Boyd, age 76, of 799 Boyd Road in Tennille died Sunday August 9 at her residence following an extended illness.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday August 12 in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.
Wednesday August 12.

Mrs. Boyd was a native of Oglethorpe County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Joseph Allen Smith. She was the wife of the late Marvin Boyd Jr. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker and attended the Ohoopee Baptist Church.

Survivors are her mother, Lucy Patricia Baugus Smith of Warner Robins, a daughter, Patricia Ann Boyd of Tennille, three sons Marvin “Buster” Boyd III of Juliette, Richard Allen Boyd of Atlanta and Kenneth Roland Boyd of Savannah, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild, three sisters, Louise S. Tallant of Warner Robins, Kathleen S. Dobson of Warner Robins, and Aline S. Denman of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, a brother, A. J. Smith of Warner Robins.

May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
