Betty Frost Garrard

Mrs. Betty Frost Garrard, age 78, of Sandersville, died Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Valdosta following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 14th at 2:30pm at the New Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Rev. M.D. Cabe and Rev. Danny Thomas will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jamie Boyd, Jonathan Garrard, Jeremy Garrard, Sims Milam, Wes McLeod, Larry Frost, Allen Everett, Tommy Adams and Howard Veal.

Mrs. Garrard was born in Washington County the daughter of the late Sidney Cleveland Frost and the late Annie Lou Brett Frost. She formerly worked for the William Carter Company and also worked as a substitute teacher at Brentwood School. Mrs. Garrard was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and is predeceased by her husband William Erwin “Bubba” Garrard.

Survivors are; her children, Marlene Garrard and William E. “Biff” Garrard III (Theresa) all of Sandersville and Paula Garrard Milam (Robby) of Valdosta, grandchildren, Jamie Boyd (Amanda), Jennifer McLeod (Wes), Tarilyn Garrard, Jonathan Garrard (Teresa), Jeremy Garrard, Sims Milam and Elizabeth Milam, great grandchildren, Brittany White, Christopher Alligood, Catherine Boyd, Aydan McLeod, and Mac McLeod, sisters, Sarah Frawley of Port Wentworth and Dorothy Robinson of Homestead FL., and sister-in-laws, Frances Frost of Riddleville, Johnnie Avant and June Thigpen (Wayne) all of Sandersville.

The family will be at the Garrard residence 707 Woodland Dr. in Sandersville and will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
