Betty Ann Young

Ms. Betty Ann Young, age 61, of Warthen, died Thursday, March 1, 2018 at her residence following a long illness.  A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 4 ^th at 2:00 p.m. in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.  Reverend Bobby Williford will officiate.

Betty was born in Jasper County, the daughter of the late Wilson Owen Young and the late Ellen Youngblood Stokesberry.  She was a longtime resident of Washington County and formerly employed by Shaw Industries in Thomson.   Betty was a loving spouse, mother and friend to many.

Survivors are her husband, Dean Waters of Warthen; children, Dexter Waters of Warthen and Stacey Smith and her husband Mack of Sandersville; grandchildren, Kamren Waters, Kayleigh Smith, Kinsley Smith, and Kylie Smith; and siblings, Ginger Gee of Tennille and Charles Weaver and his wife Rita of Riddleville.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
