Billie Ann Sweat

Mrs. Billie Ann Sweat, age 81, of Sandersville, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Washington County Extended Care Facility. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. Reverend William C. Moody will officiate.

Pallbearers will be John Sweat, Brian Sweat, Matthew Ueltzer, Jason Sweat, Graham Burdett and Anna Sweat.

Mrs. Sweat was a native of Washington County the daughter of the late John Patrick Byrnes and the late Jessie Pilcher Byrnes. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the William Carter Company. Mrs. Sweat, along with her late husband John Willie Sweat, was the co-owner and operator of the former Mr. John’s Seafood.

Survivors are: her children, John T. Sweat and his wife Rhonda of Tennille, Ronald G. Sweat and his wife Wanda of Elko, and Patricia Ann Sweat of Johnstown, CO; grandchildren, Anna Marie Sweat of Baltimore MD, John Thomas Sweat and his wife Jesse, Heidi Diane Ueltzen and her husband Matthew, Brian Matthew Sweat and his wife Poua of Ft. Bragg, NC, Jennifer Lynn Burdett and her husband Graham of Dayton OH, Lisa Beth Sweat of Brooklyn NY, Jason Sweat of Little Rock AR, Rachel Ann Williams of Beaverton OR, Erica Nicole Williams and her husband Adam Welle of Minneapolis MN; eight great grandchildren; her sister, Lillian Lamb of Augusta; and her brother, Raymond Byrnes and his wife Helga of Sandersville.

The family will be at the Sweat residence on Smith Street in Tennille and they will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
