Billy Eugene Amerson

Mr. Billy E. Amerson, age 84, of Warner Robins died on Thursday evening, June 20, 2019, at The Lodge in Warner Robins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 24, at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Amerson Family Cemetery near Davisboro.  Rev. Richard Arrowood will officiate.  Pallbearers will be: Ray Beckett, Lowell Scott, Don Rountree, Don Deal,Keith McCoy and William Dukes.

Mr. Amerson was a native of Washington County, the son of the late Albert Lozelle Amerson and the late Florence Hodge Amerson.  He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Eugene Amerson.  Mr. Amerson resided in Warner Robins for many years.  He held a Bachelor of Arts in Business.  Mr. Amerson was a retired systems design analyst at Robins Air Force Base.  He was a member of the Kathleen Baptist Church.  Mr. Amerson was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors are: his wife, Carolyn Ivey Amerson of Warner Robins; a daughter, Cathy Amerson Settle of Davisboro; three grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Wood, Brad Settle and Calvin Amerson; two great grandchildren, Abigale Wood and Emily wood.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. on Monday until the hour of service.
