Mr. Bobby Bridges, age 90, of Riddleville, went peacefully to find his final home in heaven on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Washington County Extended Care Facility following an extended illness. Mr. Bridges was a native and life-long resident of Washington County, the twin son of the late Kenchie Bridges and the late Addie Roberson Bridges. He attended and graduated from school in Harrison. After graduation he married his wife, Patsy Joe Bryan. Mr. Bridges began his working career with the Georgia Forestry Commission in 1961, where he worked for 30 years before retirement. After retiring from the state, he worked for Larry Smith at Smith Farm Supply and Marion Meeks at John Deere in Tennille. Mr. Bridges was a member of the Cattlemen’s Association. He was a man of deep faith with a great love and devotion to his Savior Jesus Christ and his church, New Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon from 1967 until 2026 when his health began to decline. He cherished his time at church, his time with his cattle, his time on the tractor and most importantly his time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who loved their papa deeply. He will truly be missed.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bridges is preceded in death by his twin brother, Billy Bridges; sisters, Jackie Mimbs, Gaye Johnson, and Ruth Hammock; and granddaughter, Heather Frazier.
Mr. Bridges is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Patsy Bryan Bridges; loving daughters, Susan B. Frazier (Gregory), Kelly B. Wells (Doug), and Patti B. Frost (David); grandchildren, Lauren W. Kent (Brad), Dillon Frost (Kara), and Leslie Frost; great grandchildren, Addie Kent, Will Kent, Easton Frost, and Hadley Frost; sister-in-law, Princine Bridges; and several nieces and nephews.
The Bridges’ family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff at Washington County Extended Care Facility and Pruitt Hospice.
