Mr. Bobby Lee McDonald, age 67, of 327 Franklin Street in Tennille died Saturday morning November 29 at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday December 2 in the Mineral Springs Baptist Church with burial in the Mineral Springs Church Cemetery.

Mr. McDonald was a native of Hancock County. He was the son of the late Calvin Lee McDonald and was predeceased by a brother, Charles Dean McDonald. Mr. McDonald retired after serving for 20 years in the United States Army. He was a Sergeant First Class and served during the Viet Nam Conflict. Mr. McDonald was a retired safety officer for C. T. Harris Trucking Inc. He was a member and deacon at the Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Brenda Smallwood McDonald of Tennille, two sons, Carlton Lee (Lisa) McDonald of Sandersville and Curtis Alan (Tamara) McDonald of Pittsburg, his mother, Lillie Yarbrough McDonald of Warthen, five grandchildren, Sarah Abigail McDonald, Lillie Claire McDonald, Macie Alexandra McDonald, Mara Ashley McDonald and Madison Grace McDonald, a brother, Jerry Ben McDonald of Warthen

The family suggest that donations may be made to the Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 165 Yarbrough Lane, Mitchell, Georgia 30820. The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday evening.
