Bobby Gene Parker, Sr.

Mr. Bobby Gene Parker, Sr., age 89, of Tennille, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at Heritage Inn following an extended illness.  A graveside funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, November 1 ^st at 11:00 a.m. at Warthen United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Reverend Andy Yates will officiate.

Mr. Parker was born and raised in Warthen, he was the son of the late Ira Lee Parker and the late Lyda Todd Parker. He attended Warthen School prior to enlisting in the US Navy. Bobby proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict as an electrician.  Following his military service, he continued his work as an electrician and created Parker Electrical Service in which he owned and operated until his retirement. Bobby loved farming and especially watching his cattle grow.  He cherished his role as father to his five sons.  Fishing and attending coffee club were some of his favorite pastimes.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Cummings Parker of Tennille; sons, Bobby G. Parker Jr. and his wife Ceresa of Warthen, Carlton G. Parker and his wife Denise, Kevin Parker and his wife Ginny, and Keith Parker all of Tennille and Chris Parker and his wife Christine of Wake Forest NC.; grandchildren, Brittney Parker Watkins and her husband Lewis, Falyn Parker, Zac Parker, Camdyn Parker, Cole Parker, Caden Parker, and Channing Parker; great grandchildren, Thomas and Parker Watkins; and brother, Ira Lee Parker Jr. of Warthen.
