Bobby Henry Smith

Mr. Bobby Henry Smith, of East Third Avenue, Tennille, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille with Reverend Danny Thomas officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Henry Holmes Smith and Bessie Crabb Smith. As a young man he proudly served his county as a member of the United States Air Force during which time he was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and Thule, Greenland. After his service, Mr. Smith returned home and worked for ECCI, until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing with his dad, and he also had a love of muscle cars and airplanes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Faye Smith Davis; and his niece, Cindi Haywood Garner.

Mr. Smith is survived by his sisters, Shirley Smith Haywood and Connie Smith Garnto, both of Tennille; nieces and nephews, Ricky Haywood and his wife Dale, of Sandersville, Denise Parker and her husband Carlton of Tennille, Tracy Caneega and her husband Carl of Wrightsville, Jody Garnto of Tennille, and Terri Wilkes of Kathleen; and many great nieces and nephews.
