Bruce Elliott Koontz

Mr. Bruce E. Koontz, age 60, of Sandersville, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 2, 2023.

Mr. Koontz was born in Victoria, Texas, the son of the late Billy Clinton Koontz and the late Carol June Walker Koontz. Bruce proudly served in the United States Airforce and was stationed in various places around the world, including Germany, Turkey, and South Dakota. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and also enjoyed talking about baseball and football, and still found time to follow all the West Virginia teams, including the Mountaineers. Bruce loved his sons and grandchildren above all else.

Survivors include his sons, Austin Koontz, Jesse Koontz, and Blake Koontz, all of St. Albans, WV; grandchildren, Ainsley Koontz, Alivia Koontz, Delaney Koontz, Vada Koontz, and Lennon Koontz; and sisters, Violet Collins of Myrtle Beach, SC, Joyce Landers of Hurricane, WV, Susan Kerr (Steve) of Dunbar, WW, Debra Hicks, and Maria Koontz, both of Sophia, WV.
