Buford N. Cummings, Sr.

Buford N. Cummings, Sr. passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville, GA.

Mr. Cummings was born on May 9, 1925 to the late Mark Newman Cummings and the late Ernestine Bertha Tanner Cummings in Dublin, GA. He was a veteran in the United States Navy. Mr. Cummings retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Logistics Technician. He was a member of the VFW Post 6605 and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn B. Cummings.

Survivors include- his children, Buford N. Cummings, Jr. of Sandersville, Christian B. Cummings, Sr. of Warner Robins, Mark F. (Liddy) Cummings of Bonaire, Glen R. Cummings of Milledgeville; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
