Mr. Buford Warren Lord, age 73, of 3683 Sunhill-Grange Road in Sandersville died Friday night March 21 at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday March 23 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.

Mr. Lord was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the son of the late Herman Horace Lord and the late Sara Helen Brett Lord. He was a retired driller for Georgia Kaolin Company. Mr. Lord was a member of the Sisters Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Bernice Carter Lord of Sandersville, a brother, Lester Lord of Sandersville and several nieces and nephew.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Sunday.
