Calvin Wiley Yarbrough

Calvin Wiley Yarbrough age 85, of Davisboro joined his wife, Geraldine in eternal sleep, Saturday March 9, 2024. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, March 14th at 2:00 p.m. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Joe Cheeks and Jerry Pitman will officiate. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville. Intermittent will be at the Davisboro City cemetery. Pallbearers will be Holden Yarbrough, Troy Lee Yarbrough Jr., (T.J.), Greg Marsh, Clay Yarbrough, Brandon Newsome, Justin Coleman, and Cody Swan.

Wiley lived most of his life in Davisboro son of the late J.T. Yarbrough and the late Bernice Cowart Yarbrough.  He was a graduate of Augusta Tech and went to work for the local I.B.E.W.1579. He was an electrician for forty-five years. Wiley loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer, fisher and hunter. He was also a farmer. He cherished his family and appreciated his dogs. He enjoyed watching sports and CNN. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his beloved wife, Geraldine F. Yarbrough, his son, Anthony Wiley Yarbrough, daughter-in-law, Dorothy Sue Yarbrough, his siblings, Frankie Yarbrough, Tommy Yarbrough, Betty Kate Yarbrough Marsh, Charlie Tripp Yarbrough and Roy Yarbrough, and brother-in-law, L.D. Funderburg.

Survivors are his three sons, Calvin Boyd Yarbrough of Jackson, Troy Lee (Kristie) Yarbrough of Davisboro and Travis Brian (Angie) Yarbrough of Davisboro, nine grandchildren, Amanda Yarbrough, Heather Yarbrough, Holly Yarbrough, Tammy Smith, Kay Holder, Rachel Michelle Yarbrough, Troy Lee Yarbrough, Jr. (TJ), Linda Yarbrough Holata (Kevin) of Moore Haven, Florida and Holden Yarbrough, sister-in-law, Faye Yarbrough of Davisboro and Betty Funderburg of Gibson; twenty great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
