Carol Anderson

Mrs. Carol McCullough Anderson, age 69, of Sandersville, died on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in Johnson City, Tennessee following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13 at 2:00 P.M. in May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville.  Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service.

Mrs. Anderson was a native of Emanuel County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Thomas Alvin McCullough and the late Mildred Abney McCullough.  She had lived in Washington County for many years and was a retired bookkeeper for the Washington County Board of Education at Elder Middle School.  She was a member of Ridgeland Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Gary Anderson of Sandersville; daughter, Windy Anderson; son, Shannon Anderson and his wife Aimee all of Jonesborough TN; grandchildren, Patrick Afflerback , Kason Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Lori Hernandez, Crystal Purvis and Gabriel Anderson; great grandchildren, Gage Afflerback, Evan Anderson, Hazel Purvis and Violet Purvis; sister, Kay M. Johnson of Swainsboro; and nieces, Misty Chalker and Hope Fagler.

The family suggest that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Masonic Children's Home, care of The Grand Lodge of Georgia, 811 mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31202-6779.
