Carol Jones Jackson

November 13, 1927 — May 3, 2016

Mrs. Carol Jones Jackson, age 88, of Riddleville, died Tuesday, May 03, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 5th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Riddleville Baptist Church with burial in the Riddleville Cemetery. Reverend Daniel Porter, Reverend Billy King and Reverend Ron Dixon will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kevin Jackson, Michael Hall, Darin Hall, Mark Daniels, Clay Bussell, Justin Perryman, and Jacob Daniels.

Mrs. Jackson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County the daughter of the late Willie D. Jones Sr., and the late Lucile Cofield Jones. She was retired from the William Carter Company as an inspector. Mrs. Jackson was a faithful member of the Riddleville Baptist Church where she was active in the Church Women's Missionary Union, and also the Adult Sunday School Class. She is predeceased by her husband, Hubert L. Jackson, and siblings: Mabry J. Griggs, Willie D. “Billy” Jones Jr., Doris J. Barlow and Bobby Jones.

Survivors are: her children, Ricky H. Jackson and his wife Gail, and Donna J. Snell and her husband Danny all of Riddleville; grandchildren, Shanna J. Daniels and her husband Mark of Riddleville, Kevin H. Jackson and his wife Candace of Macon, Dana S. Bussell and her husband Clay of Leesville, SC., Deanna S. Perryman and her husband Justin of Statesboro, Michael Hall and his wife Terrie, Darin Hall and his wife Vanessa, and David Everett and his wife Bernice all of Tennille, and Leigh E. Scott and her husband Jason of Sandersville; sisters, Virginia J. Hutcheson of Meeks, Frances J. Tucker and her husband Jim of Albemarle, NC, and Velma J. Veal of Wrightsville; sister-in-laws, Anne G. Jones, and Ann J. Jones both of Riddleville and her devoted caregivers Annie McClendon and Maudie Wright.

The family will be at the Snell residence on Riddleville-Mt. Moriah Road in Riddleville, and they will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
