Carol Blizzard Lewis

Mrs. Carol Blizzard Lewis, age 80, of Milledgeville died Sunday morning, August 26, 2012, in a Macon hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 29th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Jeff Simmons will officiate with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Lewis was a native of Johnson County, the daughter of the late Ivey Blizzard and the late Vallie Lou Johnson Blizzard. She was a former seamstress and store clerk. She was a homemaker and a member of Church Central.

Survivors are: a son, Wayne Purser and his wife Nancy of Sandersville; a daughter, Deborah Elaine Lowery of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Shannon Wilson, Micayla Purser, Elaine Pinter, and Chris Lowery; great- grandchildren, Gabe Pinter, Taylor Wilson and Alexis Wilson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
