Mrs. Carole Burgamy Brown, age 66, of Warthen, died Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Trinity Hospital in Augusta. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 13th at 11:00am at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with burial in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Jerry Lanier will officiate.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Washington County the daughter of the late Marshall Lee Burgamy and the late Bernice Sheppard Burgamy. She was a graduate of the Dudley M. Hughes School of Practical Nursing of Macon in 1969 and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Washington County Extended Care Facility. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mrs. Brown was the recipient of the Cambridge Who’s Who. She loved watching baseball and spending time outdoors. Carole possessed a strong faith and a gentle spirit.
Survivor are; her daughters Tess B. Durden (Derick) of Warthen, JoAnna M. Wagner (Michael) of Milledgeville and Sharon J. Griffin (John) also of Warthen, grandchildren, Ryan Durden, Hannah Durden, Katherine Durden, Rachel Wagner, Jake Wagner, Sarah Griffin, Laura Griffin, and Emilee Griffin, her sister, Cheryl Belle Burgamy of Warthen and brothers Marshall Lyman Burgamy of Warthen, and Barry Lee Burgamy of Charleston SC.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
