Mrs. Carolyn Walker Cabe, age 69, of Riddleville died Tuesday, September 03, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 6th, in the New Bethel Baptist Church near Riddleville. Reverend James Veal and Reverend Doyle Harper will officiate. An interment service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 7th, at the Morganton Cemetery near Greenback, Tennessee.
Mrs. Cabe was a native of Lumpkin County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Captain Walker and the late Liller Lee Walker. She was a retired bookkeeper for Citizens Bank of Washington County. Mrs. Cabe had resided in Washington County for many years and was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Reverend M. D. Cabe of Riddleville; five sons, Stephen Dewey Cabe and his wife Mary of Riddleville, Joseph Malcolm Cabe and his wife Mechay of Sandersville, Gregory Charles Cabe of Milledgeville, Todd Allen Cabe and his wife Machell of Riddleville and Mark Anthony Cabe and his wife Lisa of Riddleville; twelve grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva Betzold of Dahlonega and Faye Housley of Dahlonega.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the M. D. and Carol Cabe Scholarship Fund, Clear Creek Baptist College, 300 Clear Creek Road, Pineville, Kentucky 40977-9752.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday.
