Charles “Chuck” Emmett Adams, Jr., age 67 of Sandersville, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, following a sudden illness. A graveside funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Warthen Methodist Church cemetery in Warthen, with Reverend Dr. Tom Akins and Reverend Harry Hadden officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.

Chuck was a life-long resident of Washington County, the son of the late Charles Emmet Adams, Sr. and the late Edna Berrie Adams. To him, the most important things in life were his faith in Jesus Christ and his family. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns, and working on the farm with his Massey-Ferguson tractor. He also, treasured his 1989 Dodge pick-up truck. Chuck was extremely skilled in working with his hands, and could fix and build anything, and he even went back to school in his 60’s to learn how to weld. His greatest joy in life was helping and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Chuck attended Oaky Grove Church in Wrightsville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Adams Avant.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Debra May Adams; children, Charles Emmett Adams, III (Brandy) of Deepstep, Jessica Adams (Matthew Clements), Leslie Adams Quail (Andrew), and John Thomas Adams (Alexandria Caviness), all of Sandersville; grandchildren, Aiden Adams, Iris Perry, and Andrew Quail, Jr.; brother, Doug Adams (Regina); and many other family and friends.

The family will receive visitors at the Adams residence in Sandersville.
