Mr. Charles Phawn Thompson, age 48, of Harrison-Pringle Rd., Harrison, died Saturday, May 31, 2008. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3rd, at 11:00am at the New Family Cemetery in Harrison. Revs. Chad Waller and Johnnie Thompson will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Scott Carter, Mike Thompson, David Thompson, Keith Thompson, Buzz Thompson, Chad Thompson, B. J. Thompson, Autrey Thompson, John Paul Manken, Van Thompson, and Tommy Norris.
Mr. Thompson was born in Appling County the son of the late Johnny Hoke Thompson and the late Laura Jean Mincey Thompson. He was self employed working in construction and fencing. He was also a cattle farmer and a member of the Georgia Cattleman’s Association. Mr. Thompson was a Baptist.
Survivors are his wife Dee Thompson of Harrison, children, Jessica Victoria T. McCaw (William), William Eugene “Billy” Thompson and Michael James Thompson (Shannon) all of Harrison, brothers, Johnnie Thompson of Augusta, Tye Thompson of Harrison, Van Thompson of Tennille, Autrey Thompson of Milledgeville, and Robert Thompson of Haddock, and gradchildren, William McCaw Jr., Taylor McCaw, Dalton Dixon, Michael James Thompson Jr., Kayla Thompson, Annabelle Leigh Farmer and Serenity McCaw.
The family will be at the Thompson residence 3203 Harrison-Pringle Rd. in Harrison and will receive friends Monday, from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
