Charlie Trippi Yarbrough

March 14, 1947 — December 27, 2020

Mr. Charlie Trippi Yarbrough, age 73, of Davisboro, died Sunday, December 27, 2020 in an Augusta Hospital. A graveside funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. in Davisboro Cemetery.  Mr. Joe Cheeks will officiate.  Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.

Mr. Yarbrough was born in Johnson County and reared in Davisboro. He was the son of the late J. T. Yarbrough and the late Bernice Louise Cowart Yarbrough.  He graduated from Washington County High School in 1965 before being drafted into the US Army where he served his country in Viet Nam.  Following the service, Trippi was trained by the International Brotherhood of Electric Workers as an electrician.  He was later certified as a master electrician. Trippi worked as an electrician for numerous entities prior to working for Plant Vogel and as Maintenance Engineer for Washington State Prison from which he retired.  He possessed a lifelong love of hunting and fishing and was known to be a "jack of all trades", building all four of his family's homes. Trippi was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served as a former church deacon.  In addition to his parents, he his predeceased by his siblings, Frankie Yarbrough, Tommy Yarbrough, and Betty Kate Y. Marsh.

He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Holton Yarbrough; children, Jennifer Y. Pittman and her husband Jamie, Stacey Yarbrough and Clayton T. "Clay" Yarbrough and his fiancé Emily Wetteland all of Davisboro; grandchildren, Christopher Austin Williamson and Jonathan Trippi "J.T." Williamson; and brothers, Wiley Yarbrough and Roy Yarbrough both of Davisboro.
