Christine Cox Knight

Mrs. Christine Cox Knight, age 90, of Sandersville died Tuesday morning, March 26, 2013 in the Heritage Inn of Sandersville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 28th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens. Reverend Ron Dixon, Reverend Darell Young and Reverend Jimmy Harris will officiate. The pallbearers will be Richard Harrell, Hal Knight, Danny Knight, O. J. Miller, Frank Archer, Jr., Wayne Norris, Tommy Wallace and Aubrey Wiggins.

Mrs. Knight was a native of Jefferson County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Arthur William Cox and the late Louise Vida Wynn Cox. She was the wife of the late Lawrence O’Neil Knight. Mrs. Knight was a retired sales clerk for B. C. Moore’s Department Store and worked with child support services through the Green Thumb Program. She attended Sisters Baptist Church and the Philatheia Sunday School Class.

Survivors are: her daughters, Glenda K. Harrell and her husband Robert of Davisboro and Dale K. Anderson of Sandersville; four grandchildren, David Ezell, Dana E. Jackson, Ashley Anderson and Joy A. Brown and her husband Brett; three great-grandchildren, Eva Brown, Elisa Brown and Isabella Jackson.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening.
