Clara J Lindsey

Ms. Clara Johnson Lindsey, age 73, of Sandersville, died Monday, September 20, 2021 at her residence.  A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, September 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Glover officiating.  Ms. Lindsey's family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.

Clara was born in Milledgeville and reared in the Linton Community where she attended school.  She was the daughter of the late Malcom Henry Johnson and the late Mattie Lizzie Radney Johnson.  Her working career included retail and transportation where she worked for the Washington County Board of Education as a bus driver.  Clara formerly co-owned and operated Lindsey's Sea Food Market in Tennille.  Her favorite hobbies were fishing and cooking for family and friends.  Clara possessed a giving spirit, and her memory will be cherished by her family for years to come.

Survivors include, her children, Johnny L. Crabb and his wife Deborah of Clarksville, Lisa Ann Yates and Terri D. Johnson both of Sandersville; five grandchildren; and sisters, Rosa J. Warren and Betty J. Mazzanti both of Milledgeville.
