Mrs. Claudia Daniel Brinson, age 97, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, July 10, 2022. She married Homer M. Brinson in 1945 and they made their home in Millen, Ga. She later began work as a seamstress at Thompson Company for 3 years and then retired from Jockey International after 35 years of service. Mrs. Claudia was a member of Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Claudia was known and loved by so many in our community. She was dedicated to caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking delicious home cooked meals for her family and any others who happened to stop by her home. Many hours were spent gathered around the huge farmhouse table with those who knew and loved her. She loved sharing her recipes and teaching her family how to cook. She was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan and most recently enjoyed seeing the Braves win the world championship.
Mrs. Claudia Brinson was preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer M. Brinson Jr.; Four sisters and two brothers; Sister-in-law and loving friend, Estelle Brinson, and many other beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her sons Jerry Brinson (Terri Sasser) of Tennille and Larry Brinson (Gloria) of Millen; Three grandchildren, Shannon (Shannon) Brinson of Bartow, Melissa Mathern (Jay) and Jennifer Brinson of Millen; Four great grandchildren, Katie Daniels (Michael), Rex Wallace, Kasey Brinson, and Bailie Jackson (Austin); Five great-great grandchildren, Jase Wallace, Ivy James Wallace, Mick Daniels, Greyson Jackson, and Averly Jackson. She also leaves behind many memories with her loving nieces and nephews who spent their childhood years visiting in her home.
Pallbearers serving are Matt Brinson, Steve Brinson, Danny Brinson, Ronnie Johnson, Lester Brinson Jr., Hugh Johnson, and Taylor Brinson.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 1:00 at Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at the church at 2:00 with burial afterwards at Bennett Cemetery. Reverends Edwin Taylor and Andy Allen officiating.
