Mr. Clifford Emory Davis, Jr., age 65 of Sandersville, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness. A graveside memorial service will be held in High Falls, Monroe County Georgia at a later date. The family can be contacted at the Davis residence on Kinney Street.
Cliff was born and reared in Bibb County, the son of the late Clifford Emory Davis Sr. and the late Betty Garbutt Davis. He graduated high school in Monroe County, where he was known as Dave. Cliff entered the US Navy from which he retired as Chief, serving with the Sea Bees. After military retirement, Cliff and his wife Robyn relocated to Sandersville where they would raise their family. Cliff worked as an Electrical Instructor for Sandersville Technical College. He was an avid Georgia Bulldawg Fan and a lover of the outdoors, bass fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed collecting fire arms and was a lifetime member of the NRA, but most of all, he cherished his family.
Survivors are his wife, Robyn Walker Davis of Sandersville; children, Brandon Perkins of Byron, John David Davis and his wife Keri of Newnan, and Robert Davis and his wife Ivy of Jacksonville, NC.; grandchildren, Dylan Perkins, Aayla Davis and Joshua Davis; and siblings, Connie Copelan and her husband Butch of Smarr, Danny Davis and his wife Donna of Bishop and Deborah Blasus and her husband Douglas of Forsyth.
