Clyde Haywood Prince

April 17, 1929 — May 24, 2018

Mr. Clyde Haywood Prince, age 89, of Sandersville, died on May 24, 2018, at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 26 at Sisters Baptist Church with burial in Sisters Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Andy Carter and Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Jason Prince, Dakota Prince, Aaron Johnson, Evan Johnson, Gage Mathews, Travis Yates and Chris Dollar.

Mr. Prince was a lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Hodges Horace Prince and the late Eunice Mae Lord.  He was a retired foreman for Thiele Kaolin Company.  Mr. Prince was a member of Sisters Baptist Church and a former treasurer of Sisters Brotherhood.

Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Shurling Prince of Sandersville; children, Cheryl Prince Lynn and her husband Ronald of Metter, Jimmy Prince and his wife Twanda of Sandersville, Dawn Prince Johnson and her husband Earl of Tennille, Claire Prince Redfern and her husband Tommy of Warthen and John Mark Prince and his wife Grace of Sandersville; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; sister, Faye Prince Mathis of Douglasville; and brother, Van C. Prince and his wife Gayle of Sandersville.

The family will receive friends at Sisters Baptist Church social hall from 1:00 P.M. on Saturday until the hour of service at 2:00 P.M.
