Mrs. Corine Wilcher walked thru heaven gates on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Navicent Medical Center in Macon, Georgia. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6 at 2 PM at May & Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Brownwood Cemetery. Apostle Valirie Hooks of Truth in the Word Ministries of New Orleans, LA. will officiate. Pallbearers will be Eddie Wilcher, Edward Wilcher, Contrell Yorker, Labarron Burdn, Dewayne Hooks, and Adam Adethos.
Mrs. Corine was born in Washington County, Georgia on September 22, 1937 to the late Robert Jordan Sr. and Perry Trasher Jordan. She was a member of Bold Springs Baptist Church but later became of member of St. James AME Church. Mrs. Wilcher worked for EK and Debby May for a number of years and remained in their employment until she retired. She was an extremely hard working and loving mother. She nurtured and loved her children always.
Mrs. Corine leaves to cherish her memory to her children, Dianne Wilcher of Miami, FL., Eddie Wilcher of Tennille, GA., and Edward Wilcher (Rosalyn) of Hesperia, CA., Ellis Wilcher, Jr. who preceded in her in death, Kathryn McAteer (Wes) of Macon, GA., Daniel May of Tennille, GA.; four grandchildren, Victoria Dorsey (Trey) of Ruston, LA, Stephanie Wilcher of Grambling, LA, Sharica Nair (Joseph) of Wrens, GA, Shanerka Wilcher (TaKeisha) of Augusta, GA., Vashion Hammond of Miami FL.; five sisters, Mrs. Lena Turner of Macon, GA., Ms. Viennie Jordan of Atlanta, GA., Ms. Gloria Jordan, Ms. Deloris Jordan both of Jacksonville, FL., Mrs. Gladys Moore of Hollywood, FL.; brother, Mr. Clarence Jordan of Chatsworth, NJ; host of other relatives and friends.
